A Friend Indeed

A friend is someone to share your whole day with,
someone to wish on a star,
a friend is someone to laugh 'till your crying,
one with to walk very far,
A friend is someone who won't tell your secrets,
a friend is somebody fair,
a friend is someone to share a big sundae,
someone to French braid your hair,
a friend is someone to make you happy,
when your very blue,
a friend is someone who teaches you things like how to tie your shoe,
a friend is someone who's always there for whatever you may need,
a friend is someone who you love, a freind is a friend indeed.

Friends

Friends are there until the end,
They're always themselves, no pretend.
They're not afraid to be seen with you,
They will never betray you.
Friends never tell secrets they promise to keep,
they make you feel good about yourself in times of weep.
They come and cheer for you at your games,
In a friend there is no shame.
Friends are there to listen when you're depressed,
They are the people you should know best.
Friends are like presents you open again and again,
Always are with you through thick and thin.

The Stars

some times i sit and look at the stars,
and ill name the brightest one after your name,
because no matter where i go,
or where i am,
theres always some thing that reminds:
the days we laughed and first kissed,
that night at the movies,
all snuggled and sweet.
Because every one knows that we were meant to be together,
thats why i shall wait until your ready to try again,
because your name is with mine,
imprinted in my heart,
and remember when your ready to love
ill be here thinking of you.

A New Day Begins

With each new sun
Comes a brand new start.
A place to begin again
With a fresh and wholesome heart.

Past mistakes made
Die with the setting sun.
As the morning sun rises
A new chance has begun.

To rectify your wrongs
And begin once again.
To wipe the slate clean,
Ask forgiveness for old sins.

Wake each day with a lighter heart,
Face your morning with a smile.
Your future's filled with hope,
Forget old hurts for a while.

What's past is past
And can't be undone.
Today's a brand new day,
Forgiveness has begun.

Repeat these words to yourself,
“Today I start my life anew,
The past lies behind closed doors
And I'll start by loving you.

No more anger, no more hurt,
We fix what we can't forget.
Each day we fill with love,
We've got no more time for regret.”

Don't take this day for granted,
Once it's gone it's gone.
A rebirth of love
Should come with every dawn.

Be Not Forsaken

What is it about you
That holds me spellbound?
Why is it when you speak
My needs are so profound?

Why is it every morning
Seems brighter than the last?
How is it that you can
Make me forget about my past?

Where do the secrets lie
That make the moon rise?
Why do I find the stars
Sparkling in your eyes?

Why is it that winter's snow
Feels soft like summer's rain?
How is it that in your arms
I can forget about the pain?

When before a howling wind
With all of life laid bare,
Where my secrets are exposed,
Why is it that you care?

How is it that you're different
Than any man befor?,
Is it any wonder than
That I love you even more?

Where does the gentle come from
When your hands lay on me?
When you look into my eyes
What is it that I see?

Those words of love unspoken
That glitter like the stars,
Within your burning eyes
Born of this love of ours;

Resides within my heart
And will never be forgotten,
For even with you gone away
This love be not forsaken.

An Ocean Of Love

Sitting by the ocean side
My favorite place to be,
Surrounded by the smells
Of the briny salty sea.

I wish upon a wave
And wonder where you are,
I wish that I could float away
To places near and far.

Where ever it could take me
As long as you were there,
I'd be your lovely lady
And wash away despair.

I sit upon my rock
And dream of distant land,
Where we could be together
Where you could understand.

You are my one true love
As surely as the sea,
In your loving arms
No place I'd rather be.

As waters wash over
And toss me with their foam,
I'd cross any ocean
Our place to make as home.

A salty taste upon the air
To mingle with my tears,
As the tide draws out
It takes with it my fears.

A tiny grain of sand
So very small in time,
An ocean full is empty
Compared to this love of mine.

Where still waters run deep
And waves that pound the shore,
I'll need you throughout all time
And l'll love you even more.

All the Reasons That I Love You

Because your love washes over me like warm water,
You cleanse my soul and make me new.
Your love covers me like my favorite quilt,
You wrap around me and I feel safe.
You blanket me like the winter's new fallen snow
And I feel pure, untouched and clean.

Because your love is as heady as a fine wine,
You fill my senses with the essence of your fruit.
You are as a secret hidden pool of crystal water,
Your love shimmers like diamonds, you quench my thirst.
It lifts my heart like the sound of children laughing
And my joy bubbles over, uncontainable.

Because your love is the wall of my fortress,
Protecting me, keeping me safe.
Your heart has become my knight in shining armor,
Cherishing me, my heart, I'm your fairy princess.
Your love stands as a solid sentry,
Watching over my nights, cloaking me in the intensity.

Because your love drips with passion,
Like a heavy dew from the petals of a rose.
Each morning gently washing over my petals,
Replenishing our love in silken moisture.
Your love nourishes my soul and feeds my heart,
You are the sun that warms me and the moon who lights my night.

For all these reasons and more,
My heart is filled with love for you.
Like a balloon, you are the air that I breath,
You are the air that lifts me high and sweeps me away.
I love you like no other
Because you are the wind beneath my wings.

A Golden Chain

Friendship is a Golden Chain,
The links are friends so dear,
And like a rare and precious jewel
It's treasured more each year...

It's clasped together firmly
With a love that's deep and true,
And it's rich with happy memories
and fond recollections, too...

Time can't destroy its beauty
For, as long as memory lives,
Years can't erase the pleasure
That the joy of friendship gives...

For friendship is a priceless gift
That can't be bought or sold,
But to have an understanding friend
Is worth far more than gold...

And the Golden Chain of Friendship
Is a strong and blessed tie
Binding kindred hearts together
As the years go passing by.

Cherished Friends

God must have known there would be times
We'd need a word of cheer,
Someone to praise a triumph
Or brush away a tear.

He must have known we'd need to share
The joy of "little things"
In order to appreciate
The happiness life brings.

I think He knew our troubled hearts
Would sometimes throb with pain,
At trials and misfortunes,
Or goals we can't attain.

He knew we'd need the comfort
Of an understanding heart
To give us strength and courage
To make a fresh, new start.

He knew we'd need companionship,
Unselfish... lasting... true,
And so God answered the heart's great need
With cherished friends... like you!

The Gift Of Knowing You

There are gifts of many treasures
For both the young and old,
From the tiniest little trinkets
To great boxes filled with gold.

But, put them all together
And they could not stand in lieu,
Of the greatest gift of all
The gift of knowing you.

When your times are filled with troubles
Sadness, grief, or even doubt,
When all those things you planned on
Just aren't turning out.

Just turn and look behind you
From the place at which you stand,
And look for me through the shadows
And reach out for my hand.

I will lift from you your burden
And cry for you your tears,
Bear the pain of all your sorrows
Though it may be for a thousand years.

For in the end I would be happy
To have helped you start anew,
It's a small price to pay
For the gift of knowing you.

I would ask you first, to hold my hand,
To look upon my face,
To see my eyes, with no disguise
To know of no disgrace.

To show with deep affection
That a smile can but restore,
A heavy heart, that’s torn apart
Unyielding at your door.

I could guide you through my patience
Hold you for a while,
Take the strain, remove your pain
Replace it with a smile.

Repair the pain so fresh and raw
That molds within your fear,
Kiss away the lonely day
And melt away each tear.

These simple tasks I could complete,
With ease and no return,
To help unlock, your wall of rock
Listen, see and learn.

There is no gift that could be bought,
That would shield you from the way,
The pain’s divide, is deep inside,
And is what you now portray.

But I can see within your life,
And know the signs so clear,
A need to be, loved and free
And yet your greatest fear.

I know you not, yet know you,
I smile at what I see,
Do not hide, I see inside
I’ll do what I must do.

I’ll take the very greatest care,
For you, I am a must,

If I could catch a rainbow
I would do it just for you.
And share with you it's beauty

If I could build a mountain
You could call your very own.
A place to find serenity

are impossible for me,

Im No Different From You

People just look at me
Look enough to stare
not noticing the inside of me
They just look at the clothes I wear
They don't know how I feel
They think I'm always glad
But there's something they don't no
I'm the one who's feeling sad
They think I always win
but really I always loose
they think my life is so great
but they couldn't stay one day in my shoes
You may think I'm strong
You may think I'm tough
but you have no idea my life is so rough
every time I'm in my room
you'll see water go down my eyes
you'll ask me what's wrong
I'll put on a fake discies
people say that I am to good to get hurt
but I'm just like everyone else
I wish that could work
everybody says I look to good
and I'm just a tease
but I cry my eyes out then put on a cheeze
when love came into my life
surprisingly that was something I feared
I never thought I'd be feeling like this in all my 20 plus years
yes I've been in love
yes I got hurt
you would of thought all she do is fight & flirt
but you are wrong about everything
I was wrong at it to
now I see love's agony
and what it can do
that's why I'm here
to throw away this stress & strife
to start all over
maybe a new life
but people over here
is the same as over there
they just look at your appearance
and the style of your hair
never to look in the inside of me
never to care
I was brought into this world
realizing life's not fair
so if you really think.......
I look to good
I dress to nice
I never get hurt
I'll never stay by a guy side
and the word love
I can't describe
your wrong about that too
I'm just like everyone else around me I'm just like you.......

A Friend's Greeting

I'd like to be the sort of friend that
you have been to me;
I'd like to be the help that
you've been always glad to be;

I'd like to mean as much to you
each minute of the day
As you have meant, old friend of mine,
to me along the way.

I'd like to do the big things and
the splendid things for you,
To brush the gray from out your skies
and leave them only blue;

I'd like to say the kindly things that
I so oft have heard,
And feel that I could rouse your soul
the way that mine you've stirred.

I'd like to give you back the joy
that you have given me,
Yet that were wishing you a need
I hope will never be;

I'd like to make you feel as rich as I,
who travel on
Undaunted in the darkest hours with you to
lean upon.

I'm wishing at this time that I
could but repay
A portion of the gladness that
you've strewn along my way;

And could I have one wish this year,
this only would it be:
